Irish company 247meeting has launched a new mobile app, allowing worldwide users to hold confidential remote meetings on the go – anywhere, anytime, with less than two minutes set up. According to research carried out by 247meeting, an average conference call starts with 13 minutes delay and managers lose 9,360 minutes/per year (one month) waiting for their meeting to start. This is an average loss of €6,580 per manager.

No need for PIN codes, dial-ins and waiting
The app “dials out” to all the guests at once, instead of requiring them to “dial in” to a conference call.
More secure than the standard conference call, the app also offers the host more control, showing them, at any moment, who is on the call.
Ideal for instant debriefing after a client meeting or in crisis management situations

Because calls can be made instantaneously on the move, without the need for PIN codes, dial-ins or wait, the 247meeting mobile app is the perfect tool for senior managers. They can quickly do a debrief after an important client meeting – or to start a conference call with their A-Team without delay in a crisis management situation.

This app is the brainchild of Gavan Doherty, CEO of the company and former Telecom engineer. He got the idea from his customers, after noticing their pain over PIN codes and how concerned high-profile managers were about someone eavesdropping (accidentally, or not) their confidential calls. With the app, you can see who’s on your call at all times, giving you peace of mind that only the people who are meant to be on the call are there.

As well as facilitating communication between team members in different locations, it’s also ideal for touching base with clients who are rarely in the office. “Conference calling is a major time, and cost efficiency tool in any business” commented 247meeting CEO, Gavan Doherty. “But, let’s face it, nobody wants to be annoying their customers by sending them links to software they have to download – and sometimes, even your own team members forget their PIN code. That’s why all you need to start with the app is the phone number of your guests; they don’t have to install the app or be ‘in your network”

What’s more, the app eliminates enforced small talk while waiting for the call to begin.

“Think of the countless hours lost discussing the weather while waiting for members to dial in,” Doherty said. “The beauty of our new mobile app is that everyone is in at the same time, and you can get straight down to business. It’s super easy to use and a brilliant tool for communication between busy senior managers who are rarely in the same place.”
