HOPE to host an exclusive live Zoom event to raise funds in these difficult times

An extraordinary series of live Celebrity Zoom events will take place throughout 2020 and into 2021 to raise funds for HOPE during this difficult time for charities. HOPE are delighted to announce that on October 29th at 8pm award winning actor Liam Cunningham will take part in a live interactive chat via Zoom. The Zoom events will be hosted and moderated by The Hope Foundation.

For just a €20 donation you can take a break from the news and join an event which provides a unique opportunity to be part of an enjoyable intimate gathering with a wide range of talented individuals. Liam will be chatting about life, Game of Thrones, and much more. A new celebrity will be announced each month!

So why not grab a beverage and enjoy a family night where you will have exclusive access to an intimate event with an incredible individual? All money raised will help secure the future of HOPE’s vital work in Kolkata. 2020 are difficult times for so many and for the HOPE family.

When the world’s biggest lockdown began in India in March, HOPE immediately knew that a secondary crisis was going to arise very quickly – a hunger pandemic. HOPE set about feeding tens of thousands of children and their families. They did not know that another cruel twist of fate was about the hit the already devastated city, Super Cyclone Amphan, which left a trail of human misery in Bengal on the 16th of May.

The horrendous effects of the pandemic and cyclone continue to have a profound impact, and HOPE need your support to continue to respond. Life was already difficult for the street and slum communities before Covid-19 changed the world. The Hope Foundation were recently dealt yet another devastating blow following the untimely death on October 11th of their Co-Founder and Kolkata Director Geeta Venkadakrishnan from Covid-19, aged just 50. Her heart-breaking loss has been heavy to bear.

Despite all the difficulties HOPE must persevere and are grateful to the celebrities who have so generously donated their time and talent to help raise funds to ensure the continuation of our essential work in Kolkata. Places are limited to keep the event exclusive so it is advisable to book early. To sign up or find out more please visit www.hopeshop.ie.
